Introduction

With the rapid advancement of the sports business area, there is a growing demand for experts on sports business management.
Also, sports business is closely associated with big data, virtual reality (VR), unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV, drone), and other core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Considering that this area entails incorporating technology into the field of sports, it is critical for students to engage in intensive learning for an in-depth understanding.
The Department of Sports Management Information Studies has a curriculum that reflects the current trends, with the aim of nurturing the next generation of academics in sports management and global sports business management experts.

Educational Objectives

For the purpose of nurturing global sports business exports to strengthen the competitiveness of the sports business and industry on the international stage, the department pursues the following objectives:

  • Foster the next generation of academics in sports management
  • Reinforce theoretical knowledge related to the field practices of the sports business
  • Provide education that integrates sports information to be applied to the sports business

Program Characteristics

For the purpose of nurturing global sports business exports to strengthen the competitiveness of the sports business and industry on the international stage, the department pursues the following objectives:

  • 1Students in the master’s degree program must acquire 24 credits over 2 years (4 terms) with the submission of a thesis or acquire 6 additional credits if they choose the track where they are not required to write a thesis.
  • 2Cultivate research skills for students to form the next generation of academics in sports management and implement a field-oriented curriculum
  • 3Promote an understanding of the course content based on discussions of actual cases
