Qualification Certificate Exams

Graduation qualifying examination: Foreign language exam

  • Subjects: Master's and doctoral students of the general graduate schools
  • Eligibility: Those enrolled for at least one semester
  • Test subject: English
    • A student must pass an on-campus English language test or complete an on-campus English special lecture before graduation.
      (From the 2015 school year, only students who have taken the English test on campus can take the special English lecture on campus)
    • The English language exam may be substituted with scores of English tests from accredited institutions.
      (English test waived if scores from within the last two years are submitted to the graduate school)
    • Scores of official English tests needed to be exempt from the university English exam

Submit the certificate of the above test score within the English test application deadline each semester.

Qualifying Examination: Comprehensive Examination (you must pass the comprehensive examination to submit your thesis/dissertation in the next semester)

  • Master's degree: Those who have earned more than 15 credits and registered for more than 3 semesters
  • Doctorate: Those who have earned more than 24 credits and registered for more than 4 semesters
